

Fernando Perezgil, born on June 10, 1986, in Mexico City, is a film director, producer, and screenwriter with a passion for the horror and fantasy genres. Over the years, he has built a solid reputation for creating unique and gripping narratives that explore the darker side of human nature.
Fernando is the founder of Newtopia Studios, a U.S.-based film and television production company recognized for its innovative approach to storytelling. His work has expanded beyond Mexico, with several international projects, including Hidden War (2025), Easter Bloody Easter (2024), and Land of Gold (2022)—three major productions that have garnered attention in global markets. These films reflect his ability to work across borders and collaborate on projects that resonate with audiences worldwide.
A significant achievement in his career was the selection of his short film Mateo for the prestigious Fantastic Shorts section of the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival in Italy in 2019. This recognition underscores his growing presence on the international stage.
